The kids being home for the summer can cause a problem when working at home.

I find it easier to set aside time to play with kids. Let them know what time you be free to play with them and ask that they let you work until that time and then you are all theres for an hour or two.

Most of the time kids are just wanting attention, that is why they keep trying to talk you while you are working. So if they know that will get the attention, then they will be more likely to give you your time.
