Keeping track of financesAs a freelance writer I love to...well, WRITE. I've found myself terrible at keeping track of the business end of things, like who owes me what and when. I know I've been shortchanged a time or two and couldn't prove it because my records were non-existent.
Does anyone have a useful accounting system, or is there any good computer software for someone who knows the business end of things is important but would rather not be doing it?

Quicken, Quicken, Quicken! I can't say enough about this software. It's set up like a checkbook register. You determine the vendors (people you pay) and customers (those who owe you money).

I would wholeheartdly agree about the Quicken. I used to just write it all on paper and cross them off as I got paid. Qicken is awesome and very easy to use.

QuickenThanks for the tips. I've never tried Quicken before, but I can tell I'm going to have to give it a whirl, especially if I'm going to get serious about working from home.
Now I'm sorry I avoided all those business classes in college.
